At the heart of our work is the will to make heritage accessible to everyone. We thrive on igniting an interest and enjoyment for the past and love working with others whose job it is to inspire.

Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings Learning Resources

Produced delivery package for schools for a new site.

  • Introductory presentation materials

Birmingham Cathedral Divine Beauty Schools Project

Devised and delivered a music engagement project for schools. Part of National Lottery Heritage Funded stained-glass windows conservation project. 

  • Identified and liaised with schools, 120 pupils and music team 
  • Designed project and session plan 
  • Delivered in-school learning sessions 
  • Led delivery of a concert bringing schools together to perform in the Cathedral 
  • Produced evaluation report 

Lunar Society Birmingham in Common

Engagement project focussing on Birmingham’s connection with Commonwealth and Empire 

  • Identified and liaised with 5 schools 
  • Built and delivered learning sessions using objects and archives 
  • Worked with filmmaker to produce short film  
  • Produced Learning Resource Box (now part of Birmingham Museum Trust’s Museum in a Box scheme) 
  • Produced evaluation report 

National Grid Nechells Gasholders

Developed and delivered a heritage engagement project with schools in Nechells with pupils who lived next to two locally listed gasholders, due for dismantling. 

  • Linked with two schools 
  • Devised and delivered in-school, object-focussed workshop and local history walk 
  • Facilitated ‘meet the engineer’ workshops 
  • Worked with filmmaker to produce short film now part of an exhibition at Thinktank

Exploring the Shakespeare Collection at The Library of Birmingham

James Watt

A bicentenary celebration of the life and work of James Watt in Birmingham.

  • Developed and delivered schools workshops in 10 schools

Birmingham Civic Society Centenary 

Full programme of delivery to celebrate 100 years of Birmingham Civic Society funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund

Staff and Volunteer Training 

We developed, presented and delivered bespoke learning packages for staff and volunteers at:

  • National Trust 

Guided Tours For Groups 

We design and deliver bespoke heritage guided tours for groups of up to 30 people. Tours can be tailored to suit group interest and can include experience of heritage sites, and allow for refreshment stops.

Community Consultation 

We carry out extensive community consultation with key internal and external stakeholders. Many have helped direct and inform Lottery applications.  

Falling Sands project, Severn Valley Railway 

All Saints Church of England Church, Grendon, Warwickshire. 

  • Liaised with client team 
  • Data collection and analysis 
  • Set up consultation meetings 
  • Produced online surveys 
  • Produced full, illustrated written report 

Resource Boxes 

End to end production of learning resource boxes which interpret a historical theme or time period. Can be used in school or with community groups. 

  • Acquire objects and archival material 
  • Develop accompanying interpretive information for learners 
  • Develop activity guides and follow-on learning ideas

Management of production of short films liaising with filmmaker
